Sky keeps going blocky

Help
My Sony ski digibox is starting to play up (just outside of warranty) The picture keeps breaking up into blocks. Occasionally we lose signal altogether but usually the picture just becomes blocky. Happens any time even when just turned on from standby.
Could it be overheating? I have taken the case off and it isn't full of dust.

Check the connectors are finger tight at least. They should be torqued! The digi box is seeing bit errors and chance are it's gone out of alignment. Can you enter the diagnostic screens ?

Maybe your dish is a bit out of alignment, or perhaps what happened to me has happened to you.......
A while back my Sky signal started to degrade over a period of a few days. I've had this problem before and it turned out that the wind had blown the dish out of alignment. So I dug out the ladder and got up next to the dish with someone in the house ready to say when the signal improved. I was a little shocked to find that the cause of the bad signal wasn't the wind after all, but a little spider had spun his web across the LNB from one side of the dish to the other!! I carefully removed the web and sent the spider packing, this immediately rectified my problem.
