I managed to pick up a jap import gamecube from a uk auction site for just over £200 and can honestly say it is VERY impressive.
I got the ps2 on the second batch of uk releases and was (and still am tbh) a little disapointed with the titles (except gt3 which i played solidly but havent touched in two months as i got bored).
But the gamecube is really very impressive.
Anyone considering getting a console towards xmas should wait that little bit longer and get this imo, initial impression is much higher than ps2.
