Scotland run 15th/16th September
#7
Hiya Michelle,
Glad you're gracing our Ring of Cambridge run - seems tiny by comparison with what you're organising!
I might well be up for coming up to Scotland tha'noo - in fact us Cambridgers were talking about it a couple of months back. Why not post something in the Southern section to see if anyone's interested? I don't have a co-driver mind, and from your descriptions of your past driving I might not want to keep up with you!

I'm up for it if I can get the time off work, after trax and Wales the weekends before. My mate picks up his 172 on the 10th so we may come in that as hes dying to drive on a run, instead of been a pasenger all the time.

this thread seems to have got lost so i just thought I'd rescue it from oblivion
'chelle, I noticed elsewhere you are now planning to go up on Friday 14th, ready for Knockhill on Saturday morning.
Can you confirm what we are doin?
Can I blag a pax with you @ Knockhill?, & super slider too if he's reading this?
I'm off for the week after so I'm probably gonna stop up there & sod off to my old haunt in Aviemore for a few days touring
Chris

Ay, a bit of planning required I think.
Travel up Friday night or during the day if people are off work?
Overnight arrangements? Camp, hotel or travel lodge etc?

ChrisB: Anyone else definitely going up apart from you, me & 'chelle?
Amanda are you still up for this?
I saw slider post on the knockhill thread.
We might be able to get a discount? I would think we would need to stop near to Knockhill for the 'early' start
'chelle, you out of bed yet?

Right,
My plans depends on my shifts and what shift I am working the day before.
If I am on days I will be leaving for Scotland around 7pm on the Fiday, which may be too late for some.
If I am on nights hopefully I will have the Friday off and not need to worry.
There is a travel inn in Edinburgh where we can meet up with some of the Scottish bunch as I did last time I went. I will post details of it when I find them!
Re the other arrangements, I am waiting for some info on places to stay etc.
Going up to Scotland it is best just to go straight up the motorway, I wouldn't waste any time or petrol bothering with other more interesting roads, as the ones in Scotland will just blow you away!!!!
Thats what it is so far.
I will keep you all updated when I know some more.
Michelle.
