Used a new razor to shave this morning and managed to slice a mole, left a flap of skin including half the top layer of the skin of the mole. Though my teens I always remember people telling me not to cut moles, but I never asked why because I’m careful and rarely cut my self anyway.

What can I expect?

You can expect you're mole to grow back again. It will just repair itself.

expect to bleed like a ba$tard for ages. moles tend to be very vascular, even a wee nick it takes ages to stop bleeding. get some alum powder should stop it but it will sting like **** m8.

It has stopped bleeding now, I'm not sure how deep I went though, there was a steady stream of blood for about 30 mins then it died down a little, but now it's open to the air it's a dull pain hopefully forming a scab.

My major worry is about scaring or if the mole is going to get bigger, both of which would be annoying.

All I would say is if it starts to grow back differently (changed colour/mutated), drop into your GP to get his opinion on it.

A cutting of it once shouldn't matter, but moles if they are mucked about too much have the possibility to turn cancerous. Keep an eye on it and if it changes shape or colour go to see your GP.

Did a stupid thing once and whilst drunk proceeded to shave my head with a razor. What I didnt know was I had 15 moles on my head and shaved off every one of them. I promptly went to the doctor the next day ( after waking to a red pillow ) and the told me first how stupid I was and that it wouldnt be a problem as they would heal without any side effects.

As yet no scab, looks like the skin had healed already

Just be careful it doesnt grow into another head and take over your body like on the film 'How to get a head in advertising' R E Grant. Pure class If it starts to swear get it removed asap LOL
