I've done it a couple of different ways. The first time stayed in Orlando for a few days, then moved down to the Keys and then on to Cocoa Beach, for this one we picked which hotels to stay in then rang around a few companies asking for a flydrive with 4 nights in this hotel and then on to the next, the price was better doing it this way than just booking a flydrive and booking the hotels direct myself.
Second time I sorted my own flight, then booked a villa with a company who offered car hire (couldn't beat the price of the car) so booked with them, staying in a villa worked out slightly less then the hotel even for only 2 of us . When we go again if we're going to stay in Oralndo for the whole trip I'd do it again, really excellent having your own place with a pool ect.
Cheers

We had a fortnight in Florida last year for our honeymoon. We went with Virgin, (using an offer that was in a TV Magazine). Stayed in a hotel about 15 minutes from Disney, and got passes for Disney (7 days) and SeaWorld / Universal (4 days). Kennedy Space Centre is also well worth a visit - we were lucky enough to see Endeavoour, albeit three miles away!

Don't listen to this lot. The Disney parks are as good as it get, especially if you have kids.
The other parks may have bigger rides (agreed Busch Gardens is worth a day), but they lack the 'magic' of the Disney parks.
I would agree that a villa is the way to go in Orlando. I have booked Mark Jordans (Scoobynetter), for September. He offers a discount for SIDC/Scoobynet members.
Drop him an e.mail at;

...and he'll send you his brochure
Paul
PS Kenny. You only liked Busch Gardens for the free Bud

I liked Disney more than Universal (although Jaws was good at Universal!). Having said that, the Test Track ride at Epcot was no more spirited than my normal drive home from the office
