Yes, he actaully held both titles at the same time for a month or so.
Ooops edit - Championship not 500.
He finished 3rd in the 500. He should have won it actually, he was leading 10 laps to go and it was yellow flagged. On the restart, he flunked his start, and was passed by eventual winner Arie Lyundyke and someone else(sp).
