how do i stop windows asking for a p/word on start up???, recently started the pc from fresh and now it asks for it every time.

I believe windows does this when you set your logon to be Client For Microsoft Networks. If you change it to the other option (can't remember what it is ) it goes away.
Or you can use TweakUI or something to automatically log you on at boot up.

Just change the password to nothing. It will still ask for a username though. Two ways around this:
1) Go to 'Users' in control panel and remove all the users, which means you will log on as the default user. This is a bad idea as it can cause some funnies (e.g. DUN not remembering your dialup password).
2) Change the primary network logon to 'Microsoft Family Logon' (I think you have to install something else to make this one appear) then a dialog box appears at startup with the appropriate user selected.
