Question

Last time you came through, recommending LOTR. This time I have a three way split, Final Destination 2, GoNY and The Ring. What should me and the wifey go and see??

Cheers

Two weeks notice.

It would never have been my choice of film, but Mrs C insisted.

Soppy crap but I loved it and Hugh Grant is at his very best.

Gangs is the best of the 3, the other 2 are dvd night in films I'm afraid. And if you're after a recommendation for next week, just one word "JACKASS" looks mint and we can't wait

The ring and final destination 2 are both great - saw them last week. Final Destination 2 is better than the first. You wont be disappointed with either.

Dunno bout t'other, not seen it.

Cool

Is FD2 worth it then? I thought FD was pretty poor with regards to the ending.
I would agree with LOTR being a night in.....but preferably if you have a projector screen.
GONY is good, but not that good.
2WN I haven't yet seen.....

I saw FD #1 on DVD, I thought good sound if you've got a decent surround/5.1 system but not that great a movie. Was tempted to go see #2 but not gonna rush.

LOTR is an improvement on the first one. Not read the book(s), but the first one lacked continuity in places (to me) and was noticably long - this one was still long but less noticably so. Nicer effects, nicer film generally, made me want to see #3 whereas first one just made me wonder if #2 would be any better. Go see it. Definittely not one of the greatest films ever, a worthwhile epic though. IMO... (YMMV)

If you can find somewhere to see 'Catch me if you can' see that. Otherwise, The Ring.
