OK need the following....
10 day holiday
Hot - but not too hot !
Clean Beaches
Something for the kids (3 & 6) but somewhere not too "kiddie" so the place will be crawling with kids !
Nice restaurants
quality hotel - not too crowded.
Not too far on a plane (cos of kids - so 4 hrs max say)

Cost isn't really an issue - happy to pay whats needed for a quality holiday.

Any suggestions ?

Have you thought about getting a Villa ? Always an option. Algarve is nice , nice weather , great watersports , activities such as golf etc.. , not toooo hot but warm (depending on when you go)

Kids would be bored ****less in the maldives. Top place to go if you can get the in-laws to look after them

Paphos in Cyprus ( the other end to the fleshpots of Aya Napa ) would seem to fit the bill.
