Oooh, 120V power supply. So you'd need to buy a mount of some description as I'm assuming that velco wouldn't hold it to the wall.
Not for me, I'll stick to my 14" b&w set thanks.

Oh, please!
Have you ever heard the saying "there's no such thing as a free lunch"?
How about, "If it seems too good to be true, then it usually is"?
Think about it for a minute. A 61" plasma screen worth thousands, selling for a few hundred quid in a private sale from someone you've never heard of? Someone whose previous sales have been for a few video games worth well under £100 each? The account has hardly been used since early 2001. You can determine all these things just by looking at the user's feedback.
Moreover, this item is listed on a 3-day auction, whereas 7 or 10 days is much more common. Why would someone want to limit their audience by running the auction over such a short period? (Hint: it takes EBay officials a few days to process any complaints and pull auctions).
Not wishing to p*ss on anyone's chips, but if this screen even exists, I'll eat my sweaty, stinking trainers...

There are fraudsters targeting ebay, especially with desirable consumer goods - plasma tvs and high end digital slrs are both common.
Not saying this is, but if it looks too good to be true, ask questions before hand.

Also, note that the seller has only ever bought before, and has only bought low value games from the states.
I'm not bidding until I hear from the seller. I'll not pass judgement yet but there's many possible scenarios...

Andy,
That is a grey area. Normally you pay import duty on a new product. This is second hand so I think that you would get away with it if you can produce a reciept from the seller.
Good luck.
Jason.

Not suggesting for a moment that this screen is stolen, but I thought I'd mention I know of at least 3 large plasma screens that were stolen from a trade show in Essen in Germany recently.
The thieves just walked out with them after the show closed on the last day. The 2 big ones (worth £6k each) were chained down so probably a profession who came equipped with bolt cutters.

I think it is safe to assume it's someone wanting to "take" your dosh or it has no internals still would look good on the wall though even if it didn't work!!

Guys,
There is no plasma screen. The ad is just a set of specs stolen from another web site, and likewise the tiny photo. I could put together an ad for any product you like - it doesn't mean to say that I actually own one, or even have access to one. Mail the seller to ask for a better photo and you'll be disappointed.
EBay has dozens of these scams on it all the time, and I'm surprised that this one has received such attention (and even a bid - be ashamed of yourself!). Many of them are run by people who have, by some means, gained access to legitimate accounts in order to be able to present convincing feedback. In most cases, though, the feedback will relate to very different types of item from the high-value item promised by the scammer. For example, someone may have 100 feedback from buying and selling paperback books, then suddenly their account is being used to sell a desirable piece of electronic equipment. What could be more suspicious?!
