Just out of interest - how do scandinavians keep their wiper blades from freezing - heated blades and special low temp ones...

They have a very small heater filament wire running through them just on the leading edge, it heats up when the wing mirrors are on with the HRW. All scoobies have this, you just have to put the fuse in the slot with the wiper symbol! Oh, yes, and have a standard UK model year 99/00 with the heated drivers side wing mirror!

I have MY00 UK and no heated mirror. Although mine is a dutch import if that makes any difference?

Well, yes, of course it does - how do you think they make them cheaper? they take things off!!

Dont know why its only the drivers side that is heated?? Cheapskates Subaru!!

Both my My00 and my My99 (RB5) hasn't got a heated wing mirror (or mirrors) ??
