Question

My mother is completely wheelchair bound and so she has a big old van with ramp and winch etc for nice big family outings - ahhhhhhhhh!
However, the van is dead we need a new one.
Anyone know any good companies? I've looked through

My great aunt is likewise, and we chuck her in and out of the scoob quite happily. She only has one leg so is light to move around. (I don't know if your mother is wanting to drive - may help to specify that)

Another place to try (and I don't know if this is the same list, so apologies if it is) is

Hi Chuck

My brother is also wheelchair bound and my dad has to have a van type thing with lift etc.

He did have a VW Caravelle 2.5 D and has recently replaced this.
While looking to change he looked at another Caravelle but the TDi this time as the non turbo was dog slow, and also looked at the Merc V class as well.

He has ended up with the Caravelle again as it fitted his needs better tan the Merc but both are nice it just depends on what you need.

If you want any more info let me know and I'll get him to mail you with anything you want to know as he's the expert not me.

Thats great folks! Nick, sadly ma is quite large and we do need a van she can be wheeled straight into. Doesn't drive herself, last time she drove she was able bodied, but still managed to crash into the only Merc in the town she lived in LOL. She gave up driving due to embarrassment at the time LOL
Chris, ma lust's after a VW caravelle, if the dealer is good I'd love to hear more. chuckster@22b.com

Hey dude. Try speaking to a chap called Russell Ball at Martins in Basingstoke, hes pretty good. They deal with most of the possible variants of VWs, including Carravelles that would certainly have an option for ramps etc etc. He is most helpful.

Also, my friend has a handicapped brother, who is a big lad, at least 5'11 and they have a citroen berlingo thats converted. Im not sure on the look of the van, but practicality is there.
