I was amazed at the footage of Harri Rovanpera piling into the privateer Juuso Pykalisto who was stranded just round a corner.
The in car footage showed the impact

Even my wife was dumbstruck at that footage. She just sat there, slowly uttering mild expletives.
Phoenomenal, utterly phoenomenal, and great to watch
had to feel for Rovanpera somewhat - that was a hell of an impact.

If Rovanpera had slowed down at the when he passed the spectators warning him, as is customary, he probably would have been able to stop.
