how to find a virus?
#1
Hi,
I've just been sent a mail from someone I don't know.
It's got an exe file in it. There is nothing other than the file. No message.
The file is called INFUNIST.EXE
I don't want to open it unless I know it's clean, any idea's?

hmmm recieving an EXE from someone you don't know with no message accompaining it? No debate, straight in the bin. I wouldn't open an EXE from anybody, unless I had asked for something to be sent

That's a shame. We had quite a few problems at take over time, but it's been three years now, I often wish people wouldn't hold such a grudge. I've been here for 8 or 9 years now and can honestly say that the products have never been better or further ahead of the competition.
Who are you using now? Pound says it's Sophos.
Yes I'm biased, my mates write it.

<B> Thanks for the offer, Jack, but I've already had a flavour of how NAI do business.
I was a DSAVTK subscriber until NAI took them over.
I wouldn't touch a NAI product with a bargepole, free or otherwise.
All IMHO.

Jack,
I am afraid it is nothing to with holding a grudge. I simply refuse to do business with such organisations.
I was not treated with any sort of consideration whatsoever when trying to get the issues sorted out. I was constantly promised callbacks, given wrong numbers, faxes basically saying 'tough'. That is not how I do business.
I am now using Norton and I have not had any problems with it.
You reap what you sow! I have steered clients away from NAI products in the past, simply due to my previous experiences.
The products may be good but the after sales support was pathetic!
I hope NAI's customer focus has changed since then.
Good luck,
C

My appologies, your saying that you wouldn't touch our products with a barge pole set me off on one.
Glad to hear you're using Norton, they've got a pretty good product set. I owe you a pound.
