basically ive torn my right Deltoid( i think that name the muscle near the shoulder dip)
anyway a strand comes through the dip so i can tell ive ripped it again.
if i keep training hard and go through the pain whats the worst that'd happen?
Could it results in loss of arm for instance?
Is so painful i cant even sleep anyway.
ideas!! rest , carry on, pain killers

IMHO you should rest until fully recovered and then do some physio work, if you overtrain a muscle (i.e. damage it too often) it will not grow!!!
I would get it looked at by a professional for a proper opinion ASAP - they will probably advise rest period/physio work!

Seek professional help, it sounds serious if you damaged that long ago and you are suffering still... Unfortunately, injuries will come back to haunt you as time mves on.. As advised by previous response, go and see a physio, have a chat with others at your gym for a good physio..
Meanwhile, don't push it, just take it easy if it hurst STOP..!! don't go for NO PAIN NO GAIN..!!

Si, yer berk!
Unfortunately, a badly torn muscle is bad news. Everybody i've ever known who has suffered one has never been able to train 100% on it again. In a few cases i've seen, the muscle actually looks different, if the tendons are ripped. Not pleasant.
Physio will help, but be prepared for recurring niggles. I know it's hard, but you really ought to avoid any heavy exercises involving the delts, including bench press etc. for quite some time now.
Worst case? Arthritis, if you continue to push it. Not worth it.

Si,
I am not in any position to give advice on this but continuing to train it could build up scar tissue and result in restricting your movement.
The unfortunate thing is that your shoulder effects being able to carry out exercise on most upper body exercises.
I would deffo seek professional advice though, Physio probably being your first port of call.
Damian.

I injured ny knee overtraining in my serious cycling days and it's starting to come back to haunt me. I suspect it may never be quite right again. Give it loads of time to heal then train gently. Accept the fact that you may never be Mr Universe. Sorry but when you get older you'll start to realise how important basic mobility is. Like I didn't.

Tbh im not going stop for the simple fact theres no way ive trained my **** off for 8months to be halted and lose it
Might consults a physio but that'll cost i bet

A regular doctor won't be able to help you.
Find yourself a physio or get your doctor to refer you.
If you do decide to carry on training when doing any shoulder exercises let your weaker muscle be the deciding factor in how heavy a weight/intensity you apply.
Or forget using weights for a while and stick to cycling, running and other suchlike aerobic exercise. May be boring but at least you still get a gym fix so it won't be too hard to get back into it once the muscle is healed.

Si,
I got it free on the NHS. I went to see my GP and was referred to a physio. Only downside was it's on the NHS and so it was two weeks before I could see the physio.
He sorted me out though. I thought I'd hurt my back and thus effecting my sciatic nerve. After asking me a number of questions he diagnosed it as a small tear in my hamstring!
Damian.

Grovesy,
LOL! I once arm wrestled a guy pi$$ed up and for around six months afterward my arm was not right. I now refuse to arm wrestle anyone.
Si,
By the sounds of it you seem very easily injured and so although you may not like it you will have to back off the heavier weights. Ignoring what your body is telling you could result in a permanent injury and that will put a stop to your training completely.
