Can anyone recommend a good unmetered ISP for a 56k dial up connection?

I use ic24.net, freephone 8pm-midnight, no setup or monthly charges, local rate at other times and connects first time.
I'm also with bigbluesky.com, £25 initial charge and no monthly charges, 24hours unlimited free access but cant connect every time

BT anytime £14.99 per month 24/7. Never not been able to connect, only once very very slow, but entire internet was affected, so prob not their fault. You also get subbed to BTINTERNET ISP which is the usual web space emails news, links etc.

You need to be online at least 16 hours a month to "make" anything, but with online games like Counter Strike, I could do that in a couple of days or so.

Cool

i also use BT - always have done.

£15 a month for free 24/7 access is a bargain to my mind.

never a problem connecting, and usually fairly good pings for a 56k connection.

yep, once u start playing games online 16hrs dont take long to rack up

If you can get ADSL. It's £40 pcm, but that includes your line rental and all net calls. Stay connected 24/7 if you wish. Also it's seriously quick and makes the web much more enjoyable.

As for 56k, I have been with Worldonline since they started and have had no problems with them. You will have to convert your phone to them tho.

i've been using demon for a while, though it isn't as cheap: 20 quid/month + 20quid/month to BT.

However, it is pretty reliable, fast, supports compression on ISDN and allows me to run servers when I need to.

There's also a 128k unmetered option for the die hards, but its an extra 40quid/month...

Thumbs up

I use NTL, as long as you make £15 of non internet calls a month then internet is free any time. If you dont make it to the £15, they will bill you £15 anyway.
