IE 5.5 and Outlook express, conflict?

I have just recently downloaded IE 5.5 from btinternet as part of their surf any time package and lately when I try to receive my email it disconects my internet conection.
Anyone know what I need to change to stop this from happening?

Shouldn't be any conflicts - OE comes with IE.
If you go Tools > Options, check the settings under Connection:
Ask before switching dial-up connections
Hang up after sending and receiving
Next place to check is Tools > Accounts > Mail
For each mail account you have setup, double click the account and go to the Connection tab. Try unchecking the "Always connect to this account using" box.

PS. Have you worked out how much I owe you for the trip to the Nurburgring?
