What's wrong with Excel?

Took me the best part of a month (couple of hours a night) to do mine for my insurance

Had RSI after it

cataloguing?
Lol

Mine are catalogued alright- one pile of good stuff i play out which ill sift through sometimes and take bits out or add bits in.

Couple of piles of obscure stuff or things that i like -but i doubt i will ever play out.

Then theres stuff i use day in day out still in bags and boxes, along with all my cds in my cd wallets permanently.

Thought about putting them in some kind of database- but its the 'be assed' factor, or rather the lack of it.
Plus i have a lot of stuff so would take rather a long time....

Would be interesting to know if there is any specific programs for this purpose tho....

I used to catalogue my collection while I was at work (tech support) during quiet periods. I'd arrive in the office each morning looking like I had a DJ gig and would have more records on my desk than actual work related items. (Note "used to" - I no longer work there, can't think why...)

I've wrote two systems. One in php and mysql which I'm using at the moment. Everything is in the one table though: www.expure.com/vdb

The second is in asp with a sql server backend. Fully relational with advanced search features, facility to upload images etc. It's rather neat even if I do say so myself.

The only snag is I don't have asp hosting at the moment... So it's only running on my PC here.

Yep, nicked from Juno!

Very confusing for people looking through the list as they forget where they are and keep trying to buy stuff!
