2 Ar*eholes in BMW's in one journey.....

Last night I was behind a BMW 5 series, he was using his vanity mirror (with lights) to check how lovely he was, he completely forgot to drive the car and went on the other side of the road because of a slight corner, he nearly splatters a pedestrian who was crossing with a bike, he was woken up by my horn and veers back to his side, He then give me the finger so I overtake him (well upset I was as I had nearly seen somebody get squashed and I am fairly aggressive anyway) and he then harrasses me for a mile, I turn off and he follows me, I stop as I was on the way to pick the lad up from Kung Fu, I get out to say why I had got so upset so he make to get out and then realises that I was 5 stone heavier, a foot taller and 15 years younger, changes his mind so uses his BMW as a weapon and drives at me...

Same journery, earlier on, got stuck behind a compact, new one, girl driving up sliproad

S L O W L Y

she reaches the motorway, straight into middle lane (inside was empty), still very slow, I went alongside on the inside a had a nosey, she was slow as she appeared to be doing a text on her mobile with it on the steering wheel, it was also 6.30 and dark, she just had her fogs on !

Yesterday evening I was almost run off the road by a blue MY01 overtaking me (with his/her front foglights on) when there was oncoming traffic, and cutting back in on me very sharply because it was not a safe overtaking situation. It takes all sorts...

J4CKO, don't worry I know what you mean about them. There are lots of perfectly good BMW drivers around but there are also a lot who think they own the road or dont give a damn about anyone else. Never seen them let anyone out at a junction!

I was peturbed because he nearly splattered somebody, by and large they are ok and dont cause a problem as they are too busy on the phone to worry about me.

Exclamation

There are lots of perfectly good <insert car type here> drivers around but there are also a lot who think they own the road or dont give a damn about anyone else.

J4cko-
Having owned both I find that non BM drivers seem to have a very blinkered view of BM drivers. For example - When I had the scoob I used to race another scoob down a local back road at least once a week -(we travelled the same road to work at approx the same time) It was always taken as a bit of craic and never got silly. When I got the BM I saw the same guy come up behind me one morning. I floored it as usual and he did everything he could to get past, including wrong side of the road on blind bends etc. Got into town and stopped side by side at a set of lights - I could hear him yelling so I wound down my window - He screamed 'You dicks in BMW's are all the same. You think you own the road etc etc'

While I find his behaviour unreasonable, I do not for that reason believe that you are a *****. (You have given me another reason for that - Can I ask - do you suffer from an inferiority complex? )

Question

Can we take that as an implied 'maybe I spoke out of turn?'

i just sold my scoob and also own an old bmw convertible (for summer use only). hopefully this enables me to give some sort of balanced view (imho of course)

but typically drivers of late model (particularly 3 series) bm's do have an attitude that suggest a bag of chips on each shoulder.
i think it must be some sort of status thing that you dont see with merc or audi drivers......

Fact is BMW's, be it 325, 328 and 330's etc are fast enough not to be embarrassed by a Scoob, so why should they not have a go?
I see plently of ***** drivers around and the're are not just limited to Bimmers.
People around here seem to pay more attention when a BM driver tries it on, and only abuse them because in actual fact they know they couldn't wipe the floor with them.
