New Toyota MR2 Roadster ??

Two mates have one (each )
Great little cars. Real live fun, small, no real luggage carrying ability - but that is the only downside. Only ever driven one for 5-10 mins and imagine on a long drive they would get a bit tiresome, but for a sub-20k roadster, they don't come any better. I real mini-boxster

it will pay for itself! u could use it to go to meets and offer a mobile hairdressing service
IMITATION BOXSTER!
no offence meant mate, but they are a girls car, especially ones who are hairdressers who cant afford a boxster. i'm amazed porsche didnt sue over the rip off looks!

Hello,
I spent saturday looking at roadsters and diddnt get a testdrive in an MR2 because the bloke at Toyota seemed to decide I looked like I couldnt afford one! (PRAT!)
Feelings so far are.
MX5, good fun, a bit cramped in the cabin but good vale at 11.5k for a low miles s/hand 1.8 with extas.
TVR Chimearea, I was upset becuase I diddnt like it!. I wanted one for years but now I have driven one I dont know anymore. Feels very long and big on the road, loads of grunt but prehaps I was to scared to try to chuck it about.
Elise, Book for a Drive on Tuesday, I think this will be the one I want, a mate has one and its the most involving if you can live with the practicality issues.
MGF, More room than the MX5 but the immage is still a bit soft, otherwsie OK.
The MR2 has the best cabin but at the expense of storage space. Performence looks ok and Toyota reliabillity is superb.
I had an MR2 Mk1 for years and loved it.
I think it will be Elise for me but I need to save some pennies first.
Good luck, I hope you have fun.

Simon & Dave (Gran Turismo)...
On the way to the last Worcester meet, I was following Fizz in his MY98 scoob. That car's done 25K miles now, and he's recently done an ECU reset - It runs sweet and v.fast.
He got picked on by a silver Y-reg new MR2, and he couldn't get away from the p*ss-*ss thing!
His blushes were saved by a 40mph limit that he adhered to and the MR2 didn't...
Very interesting. But I'd like to see that battle again on some twisty b-roads or in the wet, or both!
