Sorry, I know its been discussed to death. Only just read the posts.
I live in Sittingbourne and the people here are not happy [img]images/smilies/mad.gif[/img] The hotel seller was kept in the dark, as were the local council.
Now we are all going to pay the price when the **** hits the fan. Which it is . . . .
Last week a gang of Kosovans came into the local Wethersoons armed with table legs and baseball bats . . . not looking for locals, but looking for another gang of Kosovans [img]images/smilies/mad.gif[/img]
Meanwhile we are stuck in the middle of all this. The town is going to become a war zone in 2 weeks time
Word is, November 5th is going to come sooner that they may think . . .

What is currently a nice rural town is about to be wrecked at this rate.

We've already got the Peadophile prison, the soaring gun crime, major drugs problems. We don't need anymore problems to deal with.

Dunk I sympathise with you. But maybe some of the rural communities who have sat in the wings preaching how 'culturally marvellous ' all these asylum seekers are will start to understand the huge problems facing the big cities.
My advice would be in such a small place to sell up before you're property loses value.

Pops - I hear what you are saying. But, we're not about to up and move because this is being forced on us by a government who clearly cares **** all about whats its voters think. They are not going to get away with it without a fight. People here are taking this very seriously and are not about to just give up and move. Nobody was consulted on this until it was too late, but its not over yet.
I appreciate the problems in the city and think that the big picture needs dealing with now, before this gets any worse

Dunk - I feel very sorry for you and your community being treated this way by a Home Secretary who has clearly lost the plot and should now resign.[img]images/smilies/mad.gif[/img]
I hope you all fight this until they agree to abandon the idea. I've heard they may still be able to stop it. If it goes ahead it will set a precenent that will be very bad indeed for the future of our country and way of life [img]images/smilies/mad.gif[/img] The majority of people on this board will, I'm sure, give you their *full* support.

We do not and will not accept this disgusting neglect for the local feelings. Nobody in Swale was consulted on this matter and we will fight it to the very end.
All I worry about is that it will end in tears. If it goes ahead there will be trouble.
There is a meeting to be held in the town hall this week and tempers are going to be frayed.
