Please be careful

Please be careful.
A friend of mine was working on his golf GTI yesterday after putting a different set of wheels on it and had his keys on the passenger seat he went into the house to wash his hands and by the time he came out the car had gone He lives in a cul de sac with no alley ways etc so you would think it's very safe. The car was found 6 hours later but it has no wheels Please be careful when working on your cars or de-icing them or whatever. It only takes a couple of minutes it appears This just serves as a wakeup call and I hope it helps you too.

p.s I know he was daft leaving his keys in it

Sometimes I wonder if I'm just being paranoid when I lock the car for just a few moments, say when I take the supermarket trolley back to the trolley park. Reading stuff like this sadly confirms that I'm probably doing the best thing.

I was stripping bits off my MkII Golf yesterday, left the keys in it all day and no one nicked it
Would save me having to scrap it
