Is this laptop Cheap?

Ok, I've been keepimg an eye out for a cheap laptop for a while now and somebody has just offered me the following,
HP Omnibook 900B, Pentium 3,192MB Ram,6-Gig hard drive,TFT Screen,Windows 98,it does not have a CD rom drive at present apparently it is very slimline model and you plug in an external one(So I'm told) and thats all I know about it.
I know there are a lot of IT/Computer type people on here, so tell me what do you think, I have been asked 650 quid for it and they claim to have paid over £2000 for it less than a year ago, sounds too good to be true!
Any Ideas?

Thanks Guys, just checked out few suppliers web sites and it does indeed look like a bargain. I'm a bit concerened whether I will actualy use the thing enough, got the usual problem of 1 machine at work and another at home. I know a lot of people use a laptop and nothing else and swear by it, maybe I will give it a go.
