Does our Government have a brain??

What the hell is going on in Britain???
First burglars get let off prison sentences and now David Blunketts supposed 5 years for carrying a gun is to be U-Turned???
Is it any wonder that alot of us feel disillusioned with our country??? That twit Lord Irvine deserves to be shot. Hes way out of touch and lives in some swanky great mansion paid by our cash. Prob has never been 'on the streets' ever.
Its fact Crime is on the increase and spiralling out of control. Yet we want to give criminals laughable community services.
I can understand why that farmer Tony Martin lost his temper. He'd simply had enough of the 'scum' robbing him. If the Police can't protect us then who can???

Tony Martin Hmmm, Not saying I disagree with his idea of justice, but its destroyed his life. Its alright for the police or armed forces to f*ck up, but not a member of the public.

I had actually thought a law was passed stating anyone carrying a gun illegally [?] would be charged with attempted murder.
Or was that just if you had a gun while doing a bank robbery.
To be honest I think the situation is very, very sad and to be honest I can't see it getting any better.

Bajie,
yeah... didn't you know?? they're making attempted murder a non-jailable offence next.
Wouldn't suprise me
I really do believe that this country is going to start seeing some vigilante type justice being handed out. The sooner the better if you ask me. At least it'll give the criminals some sort of deterant.
At the moment....
Burglar - "ok, i got away with 7 burglaries and some community service last time, i'f i get caught again i'll probably just get some more community service "
with vigilante justice....
Burglar - "ok, someone broke my fingers last time, if i get caught again someone is going to chop my nuts off with a blunt hacksaw "

that's half the problem - they're supposed to be serving us.
you'd think with his son in chokey for drugs offences, that syrup-wearing blairite-butt boy to$$er derry irvine might have a clue. sadly not. for what it's worth, i'm so at odds with his comments yesterday that i'm going to write to him.

Wouldn't bother. He doesn't seem to listen to the 'common' man. He lives in the house of Lords along with all the other upper class twits.
He seems more bothered about whether criminals should get satellite T.V in prison.
