Applying for a job at a partners company

If an American Company could be big problem. Most do not like that type of thing.
If she is in a position of responsibility and sees confidential information you do not stand a cahnce.
If you are both in the Company at the same time have kown bothnto be called into the Office and one has ahd to resign.
All the best

Don't do it!!
Have worked with 2 of my Ex's!! No matter how much you convince yourself that you are a chilled out kinda guy and your relationship won't be a problem at work, it always bites you in the ****!!
hence 2 ex's!!!!!!!
Or is that just me?
(it usually starts over some tosser at work thinking he's funny by winding your partner up, or making out of order sexual remarks to see how you will react!!!)

Can be tricky - dpeends entirely on the company policy and how close you'd working together.
Personally I met my wife at work , we worked together (adjacent desks ) for about 18 months before I moved to another Job. We lived together as well towards the end.
Hardest thing is dealing with other people's "humour" as above and leaving arguments at the door and being civil and helpful to each other when you want to carrying on the decent argument you were having in the car on the way to work .
Not sure I'd do it again now - but it is possible to do without causing anybody any difficulties.

Worked "with" my wife in the same dept at three separate companies and worked "for" her at another company. (total 14 years) Ah, bless.
Don't see any problem for your mate really.

Would hate to do it - but I actually hired someone who's partner worked at the same company! It was a bonus for them as they can use the car sharers car park
As they don't work in the same dept it didn't make a difference - if it had been a job working alongside partner I'm not sure I would have thought the same.

If i were to apply for a job at the place (large company) that my fiance works for, would this be a problem ?
If i got an interview, what sort of questions are they likely to ask about the relationship we would expect to have ???
Cheers
Dave
P.S. Guess who's having a quiet day, 3 threads in top 5 !!
