Cool

This was originally posted a week or so ago, but the offer is still valid now. Back then it was difficult to access the server due to numbers of users but it is much easier now.

Music companies must still make a fortune.
As we're part of the SONY empire - we get CD's at staff discounts e.g Madonna, Manic St Preachers etc - £2.50
The Aerosmith box-set is £99 in HMV - I paid £19!

Did anyone who ordered off this £5 offer get any confirmation email or anything?

I ordered 3 albums last week, haven't got any confirmation etc, but it won't let me re-roder, says it is limited to one per household.

The cd-wow site only tracks when you put in your name and phone number as ordered, which doesn't seem to work.

Greg,
I got confirmation by e-mail almost instantly, it may be you typed in your e-mail address incorrectly?
If not I would send them an e-mail to check that they received your order.

CD-Now says 5 to 7 days delivery from despatch.

They must use carrier pigeon in order to offer free delivery that is that slow!

Chris.

Ordered yesterday, and got email confirmation almost straight away.

Had problems though when they tried to run this a couple of weeks back. After signing on, and selecting a CD, the system hung, before I could give my address details, etc. When I logged back in, the system decided that I'd already had my £5 CD, and said that I'd be charged at £8.99!

This time, the system recognised that I'd signed up previously, but seemed to have forgotten about the previous "pseudo" selection. So I got my CD for a fiver.

If you think 5-7 days is slow from CD Wow you should try BOL (or rather you shouldn't).
I ordered a CD from them on October 22nd and still haven't got it!!
The first one they claim must have got lost in the post and the replacement seems to have suffered the same fate. They have given me a £3 refund for the inconvenience, but I don't think I'll be rushing to order from them again.

Exclamation

Pete

The longer delivery times is only when ordering through the Virgin offer. Demand outstripping supply. Normally CD-Wow are really good and they are the cheapest I've found. Another reason for the longer delivery is that they come from abroad and therefore go through customs. Small inconvienence for getting decent prices on CDs.
