Why oh why do companies charge so much for blank cd's!!!!

£2 per disc is out of order. Anybody know of a supplier?

Careful you don't go too cheap, stick to the branded stuff. The unbranded starts out as branded but fails quality testing hence no-one will put their name to it !

I used to generate plenty of coasters but now I use a 80min Kodak Gold, certified for 12x write and anti-scratch. I've got loads spare Danny if you want to swing by Rochford.

A good quality recorder is important too. I have only (and will only) use a SCSI device, I have a plextor 12x4x32. Haven't had a wasted disc with it since using the Kodaks.

See if there is an approved media list for your CD-R drive.

We've got a Plextor (the IDE Burn Proof) model and Plextor post a list of all tested media

Guys if you want CDR's email me off line. I work for one of the largest it companies out there and get get this sort of thing at cost. That means BRANDED CDrs like Sony, TDK, Maxell and Kodak for around 35p each !!

As Chris said if you are paying £2.00 each then someone is really taking the ****. Most people sell these at around £1.00 to 50p each depending on quantity. Its one fo the very few things resellers make more than 5% on these days !!
