Hmm thought it was too good to be true. Crucial (made by Micron) have a great reputation for quality PC memory at a cheap price. So here is me thinking that they would do the same for Compact Flash. Someone else posted on a Digi Cam thread that they had seen problems reported at dpreview.com
I can now say after less than a week of ownership that the Crucial Card (128mb for £35 all in) is absolute pants. Last night I took the camera around a mates and took pictures which look fine on the review screen. Several mins later when browsing the card they are corrupted and pics I already had on the card and had previously downloaded to my PC were also corrupted. We arent just talking about the odd file but 5-6. Ive formatted the CF card several times, charged the battery 5 times and reseated the CF card several times to no avail.
Time to face facts. Will be calling Crucial for a refund later on today and will order another brand of CF Card. Anyone reccommend a good one for £40 or less (128mb CF 1 Card).
Simon.

I've used Kodak (10MB), Canon (8MB), Sandisk (32MB) and Jessops (48MB) cards in my original Ixus with no issues at all in two years of use.

I'm Course Leader in Digital Imaging and Photography at an FE College. We use a mixture of Sandisk and Jessops CF Cards (plus the Nikon cards that came with the cameras). Not had a duff one yet, and we've got over 30+ cards.
Hope you get it sorted.
Cheers

Ouch the cheapest are Fujifilm and Sandisk at around £50 for 128mb. No wonder the Crucial is so crap, its cos its dirt cheap compared to everything else.
