If the French Fishermen can cause the French Government to cave-in (on the price of fuel) after only 48 hours, what do we need to do to get the UK government to listen?

Craig.

Good point. But no Brit (taken as any person with a view on the matter within the islands that make up the land-mass coloquially known as Great Britain - OK pc people?) will ever get off their ar$e to join with other like-minded people to do ought about it

Let other people sort it out & then lets grumble when we get taxed

Apathy rools? - well OK 'cos I can't be bothered...

Direct action is the only way the Government of the UK will do the decent thing and reduce unfair and unjust taxation of the motorist!

(By reduce i do not mean a token amount of say 5p or 10p, i mean by a very significant amount)

Wink

Unfortunately the French have a huge advantage over us.

If they have a complaint they blockade the ports resulting in added impetus to their argument from pressure from the UK government due to all the pi55ed off brits who can't buy their cheap booze and ****, whereas obviously the reverse is not the case. You could blockade Dover till you were blue in the face and the French wouldn't care two hoots.

Cheers

Simon

Unhappy

I hate to be a cynic, but if petrol taxes are reduced, then the Government will end up having to increase taxes on something else.

We will all pay one way of the other...

Motorists are easy targets as most people are forced to use at least one car per family, sometimes more...

If the Government did not waste so much money in the first place then our taxes would not be so high!
