Mark has actually confirmed that those water blades will never be appearing, due to the manufacturer going into liquidation.

Don't know if that will affect Autoglym, or whether they'll just get another supplier, but the freebie offer on the group buy will now not happen, just in case you were still hoping..!!

think i paid about 5 or 6 quid telboy, I know the guy thats runs costco europe, he told me about them, so i went and bought one - pretty crappy for my car as the bodywork is too curvy, it just ends up being a pain in the bum.

they are still in stock there though.

I was never informed that we would now not be receiving the water blades. I know Mark was quite sensitive if it was mentioned on here and often said he had a list of people who were due one and he would contact those people (this includes me) when they were available. It would have been nice if he had used the same list to inform us that we would now not be receiving them

I know they were considered as a freebie due to the success of the group buy but I did not. I thought that the standard kit was way over priced but I thought the group buy and all additional items represented good value for money. The fact that some people received one and some did not also makes me feel slightly hard done by. It is evident that alternative supplies are available therefore in the interests of customer satisfaction it would have been nice for us all to receive the 'full' kit

Phil, yes they are, but it doesn't help those of us who have paid Mark for products which haven't arrived yet, and for which we cannot get hold of Mark to check status with.

Merkin,

I tried to get a costco card - and nobody ever replied to my email to them - any strings you can pull to get one sorted for me.....

Guy, at the risk of answering for Mark in his absense, his stance on this is that the water blades were only ever a "bonus", and the price of the products you received was not increased to cover the cost of this water blade.

I know he feels bad about it, but personally i'm not going to hold it against Mark for a supplier going under. Let's face it, his kit is top stuff, and i've never dealt with anybody more helpful, but yes, this water blade saga hasn't done him any favours, even though it wasn't his fault at all. Better communication was certainly possible, i agree.

But, where is he now...????!!!!

Telboy,

Fair point mate. I guess it is just that a quick e-mail to explain would have been nice.

I'll leave it now.

as you say the wax is top stuff!

I used to use Autglym and you have to work at getting a shine that isn't as good as the wax Mark uses.
Come on yot gotta compare like with like. One costs a tenner and lasts me all year. The other is over £100.

Thats like comparing your 22b against a Fiesta in performance terms

si.

but Si,

The wax is about £50 on its own and will last 4 years ish, and your autoglym lasts a year at a tenner - there isn't must difference in price in the long run - just a mega looking motor ! lol

Zymol, not bad at all, but WW and Swissol, so much easier to use, and guess what, the BEST customer service I have ever received from any company.

Bottles are 250ml, wax pots are 250grams (if memory serves).

Water Blade from Swissol direct costs approx 12 quid.
