Jack Daniels - with bits?
#1
Got a bottle of JD last week and noticed lots of small 'silt like' bits floating around in the bottle
Is this normal?
thanks

Afraid that's not normal Wendy.
You could...
1) Pour it through a sieve
2) Mix it with traditional lemonade so you don't notice the bits
3) Save it for 'special' guests
Personally, i'd steer clear of it.

Now were talking, forget Imprezas!!
Good choice Luke, however, my favourite has got to be Blanton's.....
Also, like Wild Turkey and all of its varieties. How's this for a collection of bourbon then (not including the JD optic in the kitchen!)......
Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm Bourbon Drinks anyone???

MattC -- Wild Turkey Rare Breed ..... nice
Have you tried Hancock's Reserve, or Rock Hill Farm? Both single barrel & brilliant
To answer the original post, it could be charcoal bits, I've had bottles of JD in the past with the odd bit of black stuff in. Best take it back tho'.
Then drink it one-third JD to two-thirds ginger ale. Mmmmmmm. Also goes well with Stones' Ginger Wine for a winter warmer.
