OK, want a new TV, want a 28" Widescreen. Don't want pants pulled down over the price though.
Do NOT want Pro-logic/Dolby Digital. Just want normal nicam.
MUST have audio out on it, so I can plug it into my AV Amp (hence not wanting ProL or DD)
any recomendations, plus where to get best deal?

I got a 100hz Sony Wega 28" widescreen to replace the almost flat 32" sony we had previously. Brilliant set.
Do what I did - find a local store that does price match, then edit the comet web page for the TV you want (I reduced the price by 100 quid). print the page and take it to the local store and ask for a price match with comet.
I got 120 quid discount in the end!!

I went for the Panasonic 100Hz Quinitrix, because IMO the picture was better than the Wega. At the time Comet were selling it in a deal, at 2/3 list price together with a 1/2 price Panasonic DVD surround sound set up. 8 months down the line & I am well satisfied, the PS2 is awesome on it.
And I only went in for a new video

In the end I got an LG 32" for under £400 - which I've had now for a couple of months or so. Am really pleased with it and think I got a bargain.
Regards
James
