28 Days Later- Any good?

Dunno why 99% of critics even bother watching films, they seem to slate everything that comes out, if its not black and white and in some wierd dialect with subtitles then they aint interested.

Yep saw it tonight with the girlfriend and we both thought it was really good. A welcome break from the usual repetitive hollywood crap.

Went to see it with the missus last week.
Booked tickets for it by mistake thinking it was the new Samuel Jackson film (which I now know is 'Changing Lanes')
However, we both thoroughly enjoyed the film. It was refreshingly original. Danny Boyle gets the thumbs up again

I saw this on thursday night and really enjoyed it. As princessyin mentioned, it ain't going to win any oscars but it was entertaining. The wife and I spent the entire journey home debating how they had filmed a deserted London so well!
She has told me to try and locate The Stand - it's an old Stephen King novel made into a film (I think starring Rob Lowe which isn't a good start) but she reckons it's along the same lines and much better as the whole world is affected by a virus. I'll start looking for it on DVD today probably. Anyone seen The Stand or heard of it?

Which? xXx or 28 days?
Just read a review of 28 days. Sounds a bit like Day of the Triffids. Chap's in hospital recovering from an eye op. Wakes to find the hospital deserted. Finds country at mercy of poisonous plants. Seeks "last refuge" of humans in Isle of White.
Surely there's some copyright infringement there

London scenes were filmed around 4-5am on Sunday mornings.
Only people about were the odd clubbers who didn't mind hanging back for a few minutes at a time while 30second shots were filmed.
