I was driving my integrale through Marlow last night talking away to my brother and as we enter a street there are people crossing the road 150+ meters up the road, I drove in their direction (not at them before anyone gets smart) at 15-20 mph and then one guy walks back towards the white line and waves at me I slowed down to about 10 mph and drive around him but he thumped my car luckily there was no damage and by the time I had stopped and checked the damage and turned around the guy had gone The guy looked like he was in his 50s so should be old enough to know better We do have CCTV in marlow but I don't know if it's worth reporting it. I checked the car again in day light this morning and there is no damage lucky escape I think.

Thumbs up

Just console yourself with the fact that

a) he must have found the only bit of Impreza bodywork which isn't as thin as tin foil, and

b) as a result of a), he probably walked away with a broken fist.

Police would be more interested - yes.
Police would do anything about it - no.

The police would say:
"we can't do anything about it because: (underline the one you want to use)
There were no independent witnesses
It happened on private land
The CCTV images don't make it clear enough
It's knock for knock
No-one was injured
He says you hit his hand with your car
We don't prosecute this sort of thing if there's an "R" in the month

It takes quite a punch to break a fist.

If he did break it, you would have had dammage.

probably just slapped the car in a fit of anger

are you sure he thumped the car - on seeing an Integrale moving under its own power he could well have thought he was dreaming, so wanted to touch it just to make sure!!!

had a muppet try and get into the car last night whilst I was in the driver seat. He tried to punch the window to get in. Fortunately the traffic in front of me moved so I could get out of the way.
Looked at the car this morning to see dried blood all over the drivers window, small consolation for the feeling of being **** scared at a set of traffic lights.

that is one scarey thing that I never want to go through. Most muppets don't know that integrales are left hand drive so if they jumped in a ride to the police station could be interesting

I was more worried about the girlfriend in the passenger seat. She was petrified.
Just glad I didn't **** up my first full throttle launch!!! Only had the car on the road since friday and this happens on my first sunday drive

Police were about as useful as a chocolate teapot.

that is very bad luck. What area was that in? you are unlucky to get trouble that soon. Do you lock your doors anyway?

I never have the drivers door locked.

All the other doors are locked, the wife always has all doors locked before getting off the drive

i have had two incidents of this, first on my peugeot when i drove slowly into a petrol station, about 2mph if that, and this blokes runs into my car not looking where he was going, don't think it was on purpose but looked liked it, and i ran over his foot and he started shouting and smashing my car bonnet, the car stalled and i didn't realise as i had the foot on the brake. anyway he started to shout and so i started the car forgetting it was in gear as i was shocked.

Anyway i managed to run over his foot again and he ran off limping after he realised the damage he done. Me not looking at the damage stupidly enough, i drove off as i was only going to look at cars anyway there for my cos.

anyway looked at the damage he caused, two big dents on my wing!

glad i ran him over the 2nd time.

2nd time was driving in town of bmth when my gf was driving and i was in the passenger seat, a guy ran over while we was going on speed bumps and just booted the scoob! me shocked by all this tried to open the door and give him a good sortin out too! but the door was locked and i was told off by my gf. .

People like this are scum.
