If you have the time follow the link and read this guys experiences as he explores a secret cave complex near his home.
An excellent read and very spooky.
Well worth the effort (havn't learned how to make it clickable yet )

Thanks Andy
Urban Exploration
The above link (if it works) is a site I found when looking for the scary cave story. It's a bunch of people in the US who explore deserted tunnels or buildings. It's a great site, really interesting, just what the net was made for.

The cave story would make a good creepy film
Check out the urban explorers, the exploration of the silica mines below the massive Ford plant is interesting. I need an interesting hobby like that one.

excellent short story! Ending a bit weak though?
reminded me of watching Blair WP on video...couple of mates came round....lights out....pi*sing rain outside, middle of winter, late at night...etc.....(feel the atmosphere yet?)....
anyway, thought the movie was'nt bad....not too scary.....then the wife reminds me the dogs have'nt been out for their walk....in the forest park!!!!! Scariest walk I've ever had..I swear I heard branches cracking......
Anyone going potholing this weekend?

It's a very good story, but thats what it is a story, it's not real, you can tell how it's been set out and it's quite long and drawn out. The way it draws you into the cave with them, it took me 45 mins to read it and it was like a good book I couldn't put it down. Reminds me of "Tak" from Desperation by King and a bit of the "Balrog" from the Mines of Moria.
