Sexy car - but...

...what the hell is it?
Saw it in the car park at work, haven't been able to find out what it is. The front half was pointy like an F1 car (wheels on the outside, nose like Fingermouse) and from what I can remember the back was like an MGZR. It looked too well-finished to be a kit-car but I may be wrong.
Any ideas?
Haven't been able to find it on any website in THIS cosmoverse so if any of your alien friends have any ideas, I'd be multi-grateful.

Nope - I saw it out of an upstairs window at work, picked my jaw up of the floor, made sure my knickers hadn't falled down (as they are prone to do at the sight of a phwoarish car) and went out for a proper ogle. By the time I got down there it'd gone. Reception wouldn't give me the guy's name, which is quite right I s'pose, so that's the only info I've got. Oh, and it was metallic gun-metal grey.
Edit: dogmaul, will have a go at paintbrush picture, even at the expense of my dignity

Wasn't the Lotus 340R, not pointy enough.
Still working on the paintbrush picture and have appear to have regressed to childhood. /
Edit: Not the ariel atom either - The back end didn't look like a kit-car.

Have to be careful "Kit Car" can vary from a few mini sub-frames in a fibre glass tub to multi-thousand pound monsters with > 600 bhp finished better than many productions cars (certainly better than TVRs )
There are many ...errr..."odd" looking componet cars about.. e.g.
Dax Karmala

Hell's teeth! Wasn't one of them, but getting warmer.
What I mean by 'not like a kit car' is that it had a fully-enclosed shell at the rear, as opposed to one that's made of drinking straws. Didn't have a roof, either. Not very helpful, am I?
