Cool

Check this out then. The guy's built all sorts of stuff out of technical Lego, including a vision-controlled four-shot rotary cannon, and a machine which solves a 3x3 rubiks cube.

Have a look at the 'Screening Room' page too - the 'Han Solo' animation is superb!

BTW, here's a clickable link.

Kids these days wouldnt have the patience to finish one of those, they would rather build a cyber one in 3 minutes on the PC!

I might get one though!!

Its come on a bit since building my Lego Technic go cart all those years ago!!

Once you've built it they might show it on Blue Peter. Then that w@nker in the specs can come back and knock the top off it,LOL.

Considering teh size of the thing ("Look at the size of that thing! ") it's not that expensive.

When I was about 12, I was bought the full-suspension tech Lego car for one Christmas, and it cost nearly £100. It was a quarter of the size of the star destroyer, and probably had a 5th of the number of pieces.

Christian, there is a section on www.lego.com called Shop@Home where you can order it.

Wonder how many pages the instructions are?!

Neil, no offence but are you sure it was that *exact* model?

The reason I ask is because it was a very limited model that you could only get through a Persil offer. It was made up from two other sets - 6929, a space ship with container and 6880, a buggy type thing.

If it definately was a 1593 then you might just regret letting it go!

I still have mine (it's 19 years old):

I have heard rumours that the Death Star is next in the series or at least being designed.

I wish my 4 month old nephew would grow up a bit faster so I could start buying Lego again

Still have my Space Lego, Technical Lego, Playmobil, train set, TCR (the one where you could change Lane) all at my parents.

Hmmm might just have to bring the Lego back next time I visit.

Think Its down to one car last time it came out. The contacts are held down by tiny tiny springs which get lost all too easily.

Loads and loads of track though.

If you kept everything you had when you were a kid and sold it now, you'd make a fortune.

Chopper, BMX, Scalextric, Dinky Toys etc.

I kept all the boxes for my Matchbox cars, until my parents in their infinate wisdom decided to thow them out...
