Have just started using them.Prices seem pretty good for DVD's and CD's.
Anyone had any problems, any downside to using them.Do they sell imports or UK versions?Where do they source the stock from?
I know on CD's sometimes the UK version have extra tracks to dissuade you from buying an import.
Thanks
Paul.

Used them for far too many dvd's
Pre-release orders often arrive 2 or 3 days before official release. Service is consistently good and prices almost always as cheap as anywhere else.
Region 1 discs seem to come from Canada a lot (?) for some reason.
If you have a multiregion check the features for both R1 and R2 , sometimes there are differences.

Paul,
Used them alot and they're good. The only time I had a problem with them was last xmas and I think they couldnt cope with the deluge of orders, it took over 2 weeks for the stuff to arrive (fortunately I had ordered first week in dec.) but other than that prices are very competitive. Just check the track listings on CDs but they point this out anyway.

My girlfriend thinks I use them way to much
Never had a problem, but one thing does worry me though. 9 times out of 10 they use standard post, as opposed to recoreded. (The odd one comes recorded)
Going by the amount of post I get wrong at home/work it's only a matter of time before one goes missing. I wonder how helpful they will be then?

me and a m8 have found their delivery sometime to be slow
for example when Grand theft auto3 came out it took about 5 days.
bonus was that it was only 20 quid on first day of release

Pretty much order all DVD's from them. Excellent service - dvd's well packaged (nice padded jiffy bags) and well priced. Region 2 deals are amazing - loads Ive bought for £6.49 all in. If in stock very rarely not then u get them in 2-3 days tops. What you see is what you pay too - I hat thinking Ive got a deal then they add vat and p&p.
All in all - cant beat em IMHO.
Simon.

I have also used them a lot, and still do.
Apparently the music CDs are north American imports. Don't know about the DVDs. Not a problem but possibly different track listing to UK in some cases.
Have found that in the event something doesnt turn up they are a pain top deal with. This only happened once but email talking with them was like banging my head up a brick wall. Whoever was doing the support was a complete numptie.
Also, I setup up an account for my brother using my PC. This completely screwed my account up I think it was some kind of cookie **** up. At the time I looked into it and reported back to them what I thought was wrong. Lost my order history - no big deal, had to re register for _my_ address.
Those two niggles aside I would recommend them, and I still buy from them. Prices are excellent. Always prompt (apart from last Xmas).
Go for it. You will soon be buying far more CDs and DVDs than you meant too

Use them all the time for DVD's and used to use em for Playstation games (when I had the time). Never had a problem and DVD's arrive on the day they are released which is nice.

86 DVDS, 2 XBox games and 14 CDs over the last 24 months. Have only had one go missing, the postman nicked it and faked my signature (it was Life of Brian, an Xmas present), Royal Mail gave me compensation.
Only complaint being the recent revamp of the site gives me intermittent problems with cookies while I'm at work. Great site though in general, simple and effective. Highly recommended but get them delivered to work so you don't have to go to the post office to collect them.
You gotta love that free delivery.

(As you say, check the CD track listing first, although they do point this out.)

Play are fantastic and have taken far to much of my money over the last couple of years. Not that I'm complaining...
There is also HTTP://www.dvdboxoffice.com aswell for R1 imports, very good and are quite often cheaper than Play. But you do have to wait longer on average and there is poss more chance of them going astray. They also have disks Play dont have and also some Special editions that Play don't have.
Pays ur money etc...
