Just got back from the Wonderland of Alton Towers!
Oblivion.....although being on it 4 times last year, I seemed to **** myself even MORE this year!! What a feeling though!
AIR.....Not too sure, bit slow & not very scary. Just me??
Now Nemesis! Could sit on that all day long!!
If you've never been, GET DOWN THERE NOW!!!
Off for a kip now though, Cream Crackered!!

Whats that one at Busch Gardens called thats a bit like Nemesis, Kumbala or something. Now that is a quality ride:
10 hours climbing the first bit (well, it felt like that) then a wonderful view of Tampa Bay, then the next clear thing you see again is Tampa Bay upside-down. It's something like twice as high and 3 times the length of Nemesis.

Skycoaster is the best adrenalin ride Ive been on out in Florida. Get pulled up backwards to 350ft (takes about 3 mins). Then pull your own rip chord and watch as the ground below accelerates towards your face at light speed and your stomach is left at 350ft. Even better when a 2nd ride is half price

There's also a few good 'uns at Cedar Point, Ohio. IIRc, it had the world's 1st, 2nd and 5th ranked rollercoasters (not sure who ranks 'em?). The biggest one was 310ft at 80º drop (high 90s mph I think), and is the only sit down roller coaster where I felt the need to bring my hands down. Awesome, particualrly at 10pm when they light it up . They have another nemesis like ride only a little faster and about twice as long. Perhaps the best one was the ripcord, where you are dangled in a harness 180ft up, pull the string, and you pass about 4ft above the ground at 70+mph. Fantastic fun, still got the video somewhere.
Alton Towers is great, but the Americans always have to be bigger!

Kinda agree with Si...they all seem a bit tame compared to the trans-Atlantic rides, especially Air. I think they were running it with the brakes on when I was last down.
Nemesis was a belter of a ride about 8 years ago but now seems dated.
Current favourite is the Kracken @ Seaworld in Orlando, followed by Top Gun at Canadas Wonderland

PS Mr Lewis, riding Oblivion at your age is pretty good going. I take it your ticker's in decent shape
