IMHO
Fiona Phillips was defiantly the right choice from Barrymore’s POV – a complete lightweight interviewer, she had a list of questions and stuck to it rather than digging deeper. She almost sounded apologetic asking some of them.
Paraphrased as I cannot exactly remember it word for word
Questions like “Was cocaine being taken and did you give cocaine to Lubbock?
Answer “ I have spoken with the relevant people and they state that cocaine was not a major contributor to Lubbock’s death”
Fiona Phillips - Silence, then moves onto the next question
I am sure that Barrymore only agreed to this interview on the grounds that he chose the questions and interviewer giving him control.
At the very least it should have been Eamon Holmes at best Jeremy Paxman
Complete waste of time

I'm amazed that ANY TV station would be stupid enough to give this guy a platform for his views. He wouldn't answer questions at an inquest, FFS, so why do they think he'll suddenly come clean to them?
IMHO he's a complete slimeball and a sociopath, and we should allow him to disappear into obscurity asap.

I thought he should have been off our screens before any of his deviant behaviour became known about. He isn't/wasn't funny, he's just makes me cringe. In fact I think we should lock him up until he's paid back all the money he ever earned as an "entertainer" as it was clearly a case of misrepresentation.
All, IMHO of course

Trial by Media Hype - So if you're asked a question that you don't have to answer you would incriminate yourself - like "Do you ever speed ?" by a copper who has pulled you over for a car check !
If he'd actually done anything he would have been charged by now !

Jasey, FINALLY someone who talks sense!!!!!!!!! whatever happend to the good old British system that say " A person is innocent until proven guilty in a court of law" We all seem to want to crucify the guy why because he is famous ( Jealousy) and because he is Gay? this country of ours is the pits we just love to puit people down especially when they are succesful!!!! Maybe if we all gave the succesful people a pat on the back they would invest more of their wealth and perhaps create more jobs. remeber Eddie The Eagle became a Hero for Losing says it all.
You may not like Mr barrymores sense of humour or his talent but that does not mean you should slag him off or find him guilty of a crime that he has never been charged with.
These are purely my personal views and if you agree with me fine if not then I respect your views please respect mine.

The fact that everyone at the party can't remember the use of cocaine and how the internal injuries "so severe he wouldn't have been able to walk" occurred does smack of a cover up initiated by Barrymore and his group.
He refused/evaded answering questions at the inquest and it appears he even lied (according to a statement by his ex-wife).
He should never have been on TV though as I agree IMO he was never funny or entertaining.

Everyone at the party that where high on coke suddenly have clear memories when the Sunday tabloids turn up with their cheque books - they've been banned from paying convicted criminals for their "stories" so now they try to get "Stories" before any convictions.
Ex-Wives, generally, don't make for good character witnesses
I agree with everything that's been said about Barrymore and his brand of entertainment - but I also believe in real justice.
