OK, I know there was a thread the other day about this new reward scheme and everyone thought it was a bit of a rip off etc....
However, anyone who uses Sainsbury's reward cards will have to change over.
So, I go to their website and guess what? I can't bloody register! If they knew that loads of people were going to do this, surely they should have built a site which could cope with high volumes!
(I know I could just fill in the form, but why should I?)

Do we have to change? I simply cant be bothered with all the beauracracy. They should simply send new cards out to all those registered with the reward cards if they want us to change - **** em. Why should we do all the work for them?

Thing is, I have got money off my shopping at Sainsbury's by using this card whic is a good thing. Likewise Boots advantage card. What a great idea - free stuff!
BUT, if they want people to change, why make it so damn difficult?

Totally agree with you.
They set up a new scheme for the country and then don't set up the website to cope with what they know will be a huge influx. Considering the web aspect of it is heavily pushed too its a load of crap. Guess who else couldn't register on their site the other day
Oh and don't think much of the new "rewards" either.
OO joy - its to use at 4 company's - I only fecking use Sainsburys out of all of them, Shell gets all my petrol business Don't have/want Barclaycard and have only stepped foot in Debenhams once in the last 5 years............great.

Why allow companies to collect exact details on your shopping habits for the sake of a few freebies. By participating in this you have provided your name, address, bank/credit card details, what you buy, when you buy it, how you pay for it, they'll even know your knicker/bra size.
And its all just sat there on some computer somewhere. Its not big brother, but it is used to send out sh*te junk mail and other offers to you, and will be probably be sold on to other companies too, for a large sum of money.

Got my pack in the mail yesterday and it turns out my Barclaycard points are worth two flights to Palma with Nectar. Didn't realise I'd spent so much on my BC over the years. Didn't fill out any forms or anything though as there was so much to read through. Will do it this weekend.

My Mrs asked me the other night why she couldn't register.
I couldn't be bothered to look at the time.
She has dumped the pack on my desk, which I can see from here.
Now I spot this thread. Don't think I will have to try to hard to see she wasnt doing anything wrong then.
Tut. Stupid marketing people as Sainsbury's. Dont the realise how many people have Internet access these days?
Maybe they should get our beloved webmaster Simon to sort it out?

Then we'll have SainsburyNet
Which will lead to:
Sainsbury's v Tescos threads
Well, most sainsburys have better handling trolleys, but the build quality of the Tesco's one is in another league.....

I have to say, its only since the refurbishment of our local Sainsbury's that its got better than Tesco, before it was appalling and the produce was disgusting. For some reason since its been done up the quality has VASTLY improved and kicks our local Tesco into touch......

Pain in the butt these changes. But if you pay with Barclaycard at Sainsburys I suppose you get the reward points both ways? BTW they'll never get my bra size......

hmm, guess I'm lucky, signed up and got my sainsburys and barclaycard rewards transferred over with no probs. Did think there was an error when I saw how many nectar points I'd have (think it was 23,000 or summut like that)
Never used my BC or Sainsburys points anyway! so just signed up for a laff.
