Question

Missed the last 15 mins. Saw up until the new guy was chucking his guts up after the op. My money is on him visiting his mum before she died, and then giving his dad a good slap...

Thumbs up

He drove away from the camp, with "i don't want to be in the SAS" written all over his face.
Then he saw a bloke being beaten up, and thought what the hell, i can do something about that, so he did.
Ended with a "warm-down" in a pub, with this chap questioning Phil Mitchell about gunning the kid in the bank, and being told to get used to it, or get out.

I think that's about it.

Promising programme. Won't get an hour and a half of my attention twice a week though. Why is it on again on wednesday? Assume just to get us hooked before it goes to once a week..!

Thought it would be tosh (going by all the other stuff on TV lately) but I actually enjoyed it.

Can't stop thinking that Ross Kemp is Phil Mitchell though

Interesting to see Mr. Ryan in show bizz now. I thought he'd want to live a quiet life now.

More money off of the back of the SAS

It was pretty good except for that annoying slaphead.
I wonder how realistic it really is though. They certainly eat well when 'on a job'.

It was ****. "Grant" is well wrong. The "Tech Advisors" must have been dreamers. Did you see the cop snipers outside the bank?? NO Cover..... And if the "Boss" had had any sense he would have aborted the robbery the moment it went wrong. Why give the enemy longer to get sorted????

And as for all the silly expressions...

Believe me it is not realistic at all.

The commanding officer coming into the bank at the end and saying "Soldier A, this one yours? Well done". Unfortunately it doesn't work like that anymore.

Do you think the SAS would be allowed to drink wine before going into a live hostage situation????

Me thinks not

I know, I don't believe it was relasitic in many ways (spotted the police sniper in plain view on the pavment ). Just saying that it was entertaining. Nothing to heavy.

Also, it put me in the mood for some CS action

About as realistic as the A-Team

I so love the A-Team. It still gets an airing on UK Gold occasionally and I still watch it, drives the missus mad.

entertaining but quite fictional in places

things that made me go noooooo, that just doesnt happen:

1. 'grant mitchell' made the sas out to be murderers, shooting the boy like that just wouldnt happen with the modern day EU courts etc, etc....they didnt do it to the last terrrorist in the iranian embassy seige for that reason, and that was 1980.

2. the young sas lad compromised his position in the army with the helicopter landing in his back garden and his brother shouting off he was in the sas.

3. drinking wine whilst on immediate notice to move.........i dont think so somehow.

4. the assualt was far to slow and looked disorganised. watch the last 15 mins of 'Who Dares Wins', that was more realistic IMHO

also, 'Chris Ryan', whats all that about??

McNab will be in wednesdays one

oh yeh, for future reference the sas dont respond to every robery etc etc, thats what SO19 are for. 22 are too busy elsewhere.

BTW, no, im not serving or have served with the SAS.
