Got two overhanging aerials over a passage way... birds sit on em and crap everywhere. Got CD's strung across the aerials to try and frighten ... they have got used to em and crap on them as well.
Any body got any "serious" suggestions on how to stop them ?
Dave.

Dave,
Depending on access to them, any chance you can move the aerials ?
Failing that, I'm sure some of the nutty suggestions to follow will work
Cheers
Ian

Semi serious suggestion - Is it possible to electrify the arial in any way I have exactly the same problem with mine, It's not so much of a problem in the winter when there's plenty of rain to wash all the sh1te away but in the summer you get quite a build up

Had the same problem where I used to live, the aeriel overhung the back door. Going out used to scare the birds that were on it, and they shat(?) on whoever stepped out of the door,(I used to let wife go first, being a gent.)
Bought an aeriel pole from Wickes,(I think), that was shaped like this:
*
(Sorry abt the drawing, couldn't think of another way to show it)
Using it meant the aeriel was almost in the same place, reception was not affected, but the **** dropped on the roof.:
Cost was minimal.
Edited to say that my drawing didn't work, so I'll try to describe it: it went straight up for abt one foot, bent across at abt 45 degrees for abt 3 feet, then straightened up to vertical again for another foot. All sizes approx.
A decent aeriel fitter will know what you mean if you can't get up to do it yourself.
