Chaps,

Need you help quickly on this on - I'm stuck on an install on a Forester 2.5 (Jap Import).

Simple install with a slight snag - the stereo's gone in fine, works AOK, apart from the aerial - crap reception.

From what I can see this Forester's got 2 aerials built into the screen (there are two connections for the back of the stereo, but only one hole)....

I can only presume that the stereo needs both aerials plugged in to get proper reception (!) - do I need a T-type connector for the aerial, or a splitter of some type?

I'm stuck.....

Your quick response would be gratefully appreciated.

Dan, did the old unit that you took out have two ariel sockets on it? If so, it may be using crap ariels and a technique called diversity to get a good signal from two crap signals...

Erm. Stuck on this one.

There was no radio - jap import that was crash-damaged, therefore, stripped out!!

Been in tuoch with my 'friendly' UK dealer, they've said that there IS only one aerial..... hmmm. I guess that the 'other' one is for an additional aerial or other upgrade tbc.....

I'll let u know how i get on....
