Now i have never liked Barrymore or his cr@ppy brand of TV shows, just had to pick up Todays News of the World with the
headline
'BARRYMORE - Moment cocaine crazed TV star begged for sex by pool of death' - What a fantastic headline, right up there with the Sun's GOTCHA! when the Navy sank the Belgrano.

He really appears to be a sordid sad individual, perhaps this has finally put pay to a TV career that should never have begun.

Oh yeh,just come to me, wasn''t one of his shows called Barrymore's my kind of people - really!

His only real job options now are in politics as an MP or as a judge.

BTW - This is nothing to do with his sexual orientation, just that he seems to think he is above the law and can do what he wants.

A really worrying part of this case, was when they suggested that the opening in the "man" in the pools anus was probably caused by a fist.

Barrymores people suggested this was not what happened, it was "possibly" caused when the "man" jumped into the swimming pool!

sort of puts you off diving does`nt it.

I really do not have a problem with him being Gay, what really bothers me is that he seems to think he is above the law.

Perhaps his next show should be called 'Defence Solicitors Say the Funniest Things.'

Also read that the BBC (BBC Consumer Publishing) are offering him £600,000.00 for his book, That will be £600,000.00 of licence fee payers money then will it - how can they even think of doing this.

According to the BBC the subsidary which has acquired the book "BBC Worldwide" is a commercial subsidary and makes no use of Licence-fee money.

Barrymore is gay, no-one as such has actually condemmed him for beig gay just that he is ****e, there are a few jokes taking the pi$$ however most humour is based on deriding soemone or something, it does not mean you hate and or despise them thats life.

Perhaps we should all be completely PC and never mention Barrymore or talk about him because he is gay and it might offend. I also believe i used the word white in a post concerning car colour, is this OK with you or do i need to change it to something else!

I'm all for the odd gay-bashing joke, when in good humour. After all, the only way not to be prejudiced is to take the p*ss out of everyone. However, it's clear that some of the comments in this thread are made by those who are less than open-minded about the whole thing. In particular, comments like "joking apart, it's sad this guy had to die-screaming bender or not." are a little excessive, IMO.

Each to their own though. I don't really give a toss as long as people don't start trying to justify it by saying "some of my best friends are gay"...

Paul, I'm not saying people shouldn't take the p*ss out of Barrymore (in fact, I positively encourage it). However, I just don't like the tone of some of the posts here.

If you're going to be abusive about somebody, whether it's the fact that they're a c**t (like Barrymore) or it's about their sexuality, race, size, ugliness, or whatever, then at least make it funny....
