Best thing since sliced bread is'nt it.
Well done.
Now you can go diving
But like owning a scooby it will be a money pit.
there are some good folks to talk to on the net, my main diving group (net based) call themselves UKRS. I shall have to introduce you to them, best way to get out and see what's there as they organise trips, accom, boats etc...the whole works really.
www.ukrecscuba.org.uk
Don't let anyone put you off learning in UK waters, it's cold, dark, murky, silty and deep. If you become a confident diver in those conditions you can dive anywhere in the world.
we did a trip up to Oban back at Easter and there is a dive called
The Falls of Lora that I wanted to do...everybodys eyes went like our little eek thing...they said I would be doing it solo then....perhaps I'm just crazy.
Good luck on The rescue diver.
That's a bloody good course "pizza pizza" (you'll understand when you do the course)
Andy
EDIT to add : I thought you had to do the Advanced Open before the rescue

Ok Paul, Will do,
just give us a couple of weeks as I'm off to Crete in the morning
As a newbie to the group I would suggest a trip to Weymouth / Portland, we run them quite regularly.
Max Depth inside the Harbour is 18m, It's usually quite murky as all the newbies kick the silt up there......but once you get past doin the shallow stuff there are some great wrecks in the bay and round the headland.
My favorite being an intact Sub laying upright in 38m (called the M2).
for some info on wrecks that have been well dived (popular sites)
see http://www.divernet.com/wrecks/wrecktours.htm
EDITED : to remove question "where are you based"
