I HATE ORANGE!

Ever since I have had my mobile I have been putting on £5 either by debit card, top up card or electronic card. I especially only use the £5 now that I have very little money. Went to the shop today to get a top up, only to be told by the sour faced cow of an assistant that 'as of Sept 1st, they have stopped doing £5 on electronic top up'. I asked for a card instead then only to find out that the lowest denomination of these is £20.
Where was this advertised? Where did they post this little snippet of news? Was the customer well informed? I don't think so.
So now I have to find the money to put on £10 by electronic or £20 by card. I' so fecking peed off!

If you're that hard up, surely you shouldn't have a mobile anyway? And besides, it's not like it's costing you any more. What difference does it make whether you put £20 on it once a month, or £5 on it once a week?
Typical bloody woman, complaining about nothing. I had a friend at college who had a similar outlook - she only ever put £5 of petrol in her car, so was constantly running out. I suggested she fill up to the brim, but she somehow thought it would end up costing her more. Duh!

Pay as you go - waste of time IMHO.
I am on Virgin mobile through Orange and it is great. I dont pay a monthly fee, just pay for the calls I make. 15p a minute for first 5 minutes each day, then 5p a minute after that. So it is similar to pay as you go, but cheaper and I dont have to worry about the voucher/card thing.
Works out about £4.50 a month

Hmm I moved from Orange to Vodafone and am beginning to regret it. Only moved cos Orange take so long bringing out new phones. It is a lot more expensive and the number of times my phone says SOS Calls Only is starting to **** me off no end. Come back Orange all is forgiven.
Might have to try that Virgin Tariff DreamWeaver as it sounds like my kind of talk plan as the minutes I use differs greatly from month to month.

DW, why do you think pay as you go is a waste of time?
If you put on a £50 voucher, all the costs are halved, making it just about the cheapest option out there, unless i'm mistaken..

Orange PAYG is a pain - I put my wife's phone on it last year and now I can't move back without getting a new number
It seems to be the only tarrif that they will not (they claim cannot) transfer numbers from - even to an Orange contract.
