"Different females have sex for different reasons..." if you say so, I'll just believe it then
I wasnt looking for any particular answer, or I wouldnt have bothered asking , just trying to see what you'd say.
I liked the "on the whole, it's an enjoyable activity" part! LOL and would say I agree with that statement 100%
P1fanatic, totally agree, just trying to wind up LMWRX (tonight's representative of the female people on this planet )

Would you trust a man who told you that he was on the male contraceptive pill if it became widely available?
Just wondering, thats all.

Erm possibly because they are the ones who will get pregnant if said bloke is lying and therefore have more to lose by trusting that person.

Maybe i phrased that wrong. I wasn't implying that women are stoopid, it was meant as a serious question, so just ignore the bit about blokes. In fact i've just edited it out.
Oh, and i don't want a load of 'funny' answers from blokes please...

Well, at the end of the day, it will be the female who becomes pregnant not the male.
I would rather have things covered at both ends if you know what I mean.
Definitely in this case better off safe than sorry.
A baby is a massive responsibility and one that I am not ready for, hence I take every precaution to ensure I am not putting myself in a situation I would not be able to handle mentally or financially.
Is that the kind of answer you are looking for?
My attitude would be that for the male to have a contraceptive - great! but I still want to be on a contraceptive of my own to ensure that 1% or whatever % of accidental pregnancy is minimilaised to 0.00001%
Michelle.

Yeah Michelle thats the sort of thing
I could just see that some complete loosers out there would take a girl home, and pull the new 'i'm on the pill love, don't worry' line. It could happen and could be mighty scary.
They'd have to be really stringent with the prescribing of it i reckon.
Plus there are some morons taht would think that just because they're on the male pill, they're covered completely without taking STD's into account.
Its a tricky one...

In all honesty, with a chance meeting and more than likely a one night stand situation you are on about.....if the girl believes the male then more fool her!!
Maybe a harsh view I have on the matter but it is my opinion on it.

The only way to avoid pregnancy is not to have vaginal intercourse, everybody knows that.
But we still all take the chance, so I guess there's a reason for it? Any ideas, female? What makes YOU take the chance? Love, need, unconsciousness, indifference? Other things? Or maybe you dont take the chance?

Take the chance? You mean take the chance of unprotected sex?
If so, then the consequences make it for me too great a risk to take.
A child is for life, not just for the night you wanted a good ****

Yes, it is statistically obvious that unless you do NOT have regular (vaginal) sexual intercourse, there is a chance of getting pregnant, even with a rubber AND the pill. I wasnt questioning myself, since I know I'm right () LOL but asking WHY you actually DO TAKE the chance, suggesting it might be because you consider the risk minimum (which I would accept as an answer)

Cos pretty much everyone likes Sex and its a pretty damn small risk in this day and age. Plus you can take measures afterwards.
Its like comparing it to driving your scoob - statistically you have a good change of being killed by another driver whilst out but you still get in your car and take it for a blast.
Simon.

The risk is presumed to be at a minimum. Of course any form of contraception (exceot the no vaginal intercourse one) is ever truly 100%, there will always be the miniscule chance of pregnancy.
Different people (or females as you are questioning the females) have sex for different reasons.
On the whole it is an enjoyable activity, so IMHO, the majority will be "taking the chance" for the pleasure.
For others, it would be considered the ultimate act of love.
Is that the kind of answer you were after Claudius?

if i knew the bloke for ages and trusted him totally...then yes. if it was some bloke out on the **** on a friday shagathon....no chance!
actually....dont really trust any men (except for 2) so wouldnt believe a bloke could be sensible enough to remember to take the pill every morning.
agree with above.....stick to ****!

Depends on the man and how long I've known them, can they be trusted about other things etc? , but I wouldn't rely on his word in the first 6 months of a relationship and would still want to use condoms at that stage too.
Someone I'm married to who I've known for years, then yes I would trust him, because he's be in just as deep if I got pregnant.

Sheesh, clubbing, drinking and kick boxing eh? Remind me to never get on the wrong side of you........
But seriously, apart from the thread hijacking by LMWRX and Claudius, this was what i was after. A proper informed debate. Cool.

Claudius - a good argument for women to have more **** sex!
And yes I hijacked this thread, and have no regrets LOL but hey, a pill for men doesnt exist, there is injections but they have side effects etc., no good. Let the women take care of contraception, they are the ones running the risks j/k
