Unhappy

Three weeks ago I noticed my brake pads were due for renewal and as I had a 300 mile trip to Cornwall for a holiday + the return and the running around whilst there it was important to get it done before I left.

I rang my usual Subaru specialist on the Tuesday, company X as I will call them and they were out of the Pagid Pads, no problem got on the net and found Company Y and after lots of help from them they agreed to have them delivered to me direct from Pagid and to make things better they were about £45 cheaper than company X, they just wanted confirmation of the Pagid FR number, so I looked at my invoice from Company X and it showed FR3018 I passed this info on and yes no problem this could be arranged, great I thought, I expected delivery next day, No show, contacted company Y and they chased the carrier, delivery on Thursday sorry for delay, no problem, come Thursday, still no show, Company Y calls carrier, "sorry the carrier sent them to Peterborough", Now the person I originally contacted at Company Y is away on business and their colleague is looking after me, they call Pagid and agree to have them shipped direct to me in Heathrow for Saturday(Due to go off on holiday) morning by 12.00 at a cost of £36 to themselves, good stuff thats what we like to see, im impressed with company Y for all their efforts to rectify the problem and im already writing the thread in my head applauding them, company Y reiterated the part number as FR3108, no I said FR3018 as per Company X's invoice.

Saturday comes as promissed they arrive, we drive down to Padstow in Cornwall intending to have them fitted on the Monday morning by the local ATS

Monday morning into ATS yes no problem we can fit them, "excuse me sir these are the wrong pads, they dont fit", they were FR3018's but the label on the box was for a Honda Civic!!! I'm now left with no option but to get ATS to order some or the holiday will be ruined as pads are now quite low, to cut a long story short Ats are then sent the wrong pads and I they dont get the correct pads until Friday, due to return on Saturday, holiday ruined. , son p1ssed off we didnt go far, especially as we were based at a farmhouse a good few miles from the beach.

Now would you call company Y (subaru specialists) and say er the ref I gave you was the ref that my Subaru specialist, (Company X who I trust and have spent over £3000 with in the past) had printed on their invoice hence I gave it to you, but also being Subaru specialist I would expect you to cross reference and make sure you are giving your customer the right product and being a specialist I would have expected you to know in the 1st place, oh and by the way they are wrong I have just had to shell out £86 for non pagid pads can I have my £72 back please even after you have coughed up £36 to cover next day delivery.

I somehow think i'm now stuck with unwanted pads as ultimately I gave the wrong FR ref, it just p1sses me off that both these companies are specialists (i know an over used word in this thread)and both manage to **** it up to extrodinary effect in my case, if the original invoice was correct none of this would have happened.

Ruined our holiday and my discs so there is another £200+ and it just reminded me how hopeless this country can be at times.

Rant over
