That if the parking clown/traffic warden is not wearing their hat when issuing a ticket to you, it will not stand. A man appealed against his parking ticket on this basis and won, because whoever issued the ticket was not wearing their full uniform as the law dictates.

Useless fact I know but it may help someone in the future. Oh can someone please post a link back to that parking clown site for Canterbury, I lost the address and would like to see if there has been any further developments.

They have to formally identify themselves.

Police cannot ask you to take off YOUR hat, though, as this would not wash with Muslims and their turbans. As the turban is part of their culture, a law was passed that they cannot ask ANYONE to remove their hat, regardless of whether it's a bobble hat, bowler, baseball cap or turban.
